Gmail 550 5.7.24: suspicious entries in your SPF record
Short answer: Your SPF record allows too much (for example +all, ?all, huge IP ranges or ptr), so Gmail doesn't trust it. Fix: list only your real senders and end the record with ~all or -all.
The bounce looks like this
550-5.7.24 The SPF record of the sending domain has one or more suspicious entries.
What it means
Gmail does not trust what your SPF record allows – typically +all or ?all (anyone may send), huge IP ranges, or ptr mechanisms. Records like that make spoofing easy, so Gmail limits or blocks the mail.
How to fix it
- Run the checker – it flags
+all,?all, ptrand lookup problems. - Rebuild the record with only your real senders using the SPF generator, ending in
~allor-all. - Replace very wide ranges (like a whole /8 or /16) with the exact IPs or the provider's include.
